Robin faces a situation which, unfortunately, many others face — her partner does not respect her rights and only thinks of himself. Empathy of the other is necessary to obtain long-term love. In these situations counseling is required so he can hear and validate Robin’s point of view and she can then listen to what is bothering him and validate his feelings, too.  This is a first step toward beginning to see each other as someone who really cares.  Then new positive attitudes begin to develop.
